Writing about oneself is no easy task—in fact, it is quite challenging. First and foremost, in the creative realm, I am a graphic artist, a photographer, and a 3D digital artist.

I was born in 1973 in Podillia—specifically in Kamianets-Podilskyi, an ancient city in western Ukraine renowned for its history and culture.
Sharing a birthday with Miguel de Cervantes and Caravaggio is not only gratifying but also entails a sense of responsibility.

I look back with gratitude to my grandfather, who took me to the children’s art school for my entrance exams. From that moment on, I fell forever in love with the scents of paints, pencils, and paper, and with the magnificent world of visual art.

My interest in drawing portraits was sparked by a desire to see the faces of my favorite musicians and great figures. That is how my first drawn portraits—of Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix—came to be. This evolved into the greatest passion of my life: the pursuit of visual art.

The glow of the red darkroom light, the smell of developing chemicals, and the crackling sound of the print dryer have been familiar to me since early childhood; it was my father who initiated me into this magic. Throughout my school years and my naval service, a camera was always by my side. I was consistently drawn to photographs with artistic, mystical, or enigmatic qualities; the presence of a narrative or a backstory captivated me. A pivotal moment for me was discovering the work of the brilliant photographer Joel-Peter Witkin. While I never felt the urge to imitate him, I know for certain that his work instilled in me a profound love for artistic photography.

My creative journey also included a period spent painting church murals under the guidance of Sergei Konstantinovich Andreev—a Russian monumental artist and iconographer who headed an iconography workshop and executed murals for more than eighteen Orthodox churches. He became my spiritual mentor, teacher, and friend.

In 2000, I moved to Spain, which became my second homeland. It nourishes me with its beauty, rich history, and art—works of which are displayed in the world’s leading museums.

In 2007, I held two solo exhibitions of fine art photography in Madrid.

The evolution of creative ideas never stands still. Our dynamic world has stepped into the digital realm, completely changing the rules of the “duel” between photographer and camera. Limitless opportunities have emerged for realizing creative potential. I have embraced this new world and am mastering new tools, applying them to my creative projects.

In 2024, a major solo exhibition was successfully held in Madrid, showcasing over 80 works across various genres.

I extend my sincere gratitude to my family and friends who have helped and supported me throughout the different stages of my creative journey.

Friends, here are photographs, drawings, and collages, reflecting the opinions of those who care about my work and fine art.
Share your impressions, emotions, and criticism.

This is the power of art: one work can evoke different emotions, perceptions, and experiences. These do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the authors.

I express my deep gratitude to my friends who took the initiative to create this gallery: Lucy Brt, Isabel Levin
